We haven’t heard from FXXXYBLNT for a while now, but the Manilla-based producer returns with a killer new collaborative effort, “Didn’t Mean A Word” with long-time blog favorite and Philly-based producer, Touurs. In “Didn’t Mean A Word”, the two producers lay down a smooth, warm bass, while bright melodies via chopped and pitch-shifted vocal samples dance atop bouncy beat work. We’re calling this collaborative effort a sheer success.

This track will be appearing on FXXXYBLNT’s forthcoming album NUDE which will drop in the coming months this year.

I don’t know what it is about reworked R&B tunes, but they just have a way of making me fall instantly in love. Maybe it’s the familiarity, or maybe they’re laced with something somehow sonically. Whatever it is, keep doing it. New track ‘Didn’t Mean A Word‘ from FXXXYBLNT and Touurs combines a high pitched vocal loop over a sharp and sparkling production that automatically brings this thing into my mind (don’t ask – best Pokemon ever btw). Heavy bass keeps the sound grounded, making this take on a classic R&B track a must-listen.

FXXXYBLNT makes a comeback via “Didn’t Mean A Word,” a refreshing electro-R&B number that cuts loose over a playful beat work. This also happens to be a collaboration with US-based producer Touurs whom FXXXYBLNT worked with in the past, particularly on the track “Take Me There.” But there’s so much going on here: from the pitch-shifted vocal sample straight from Ciara’s “Sorry” to the digitally twisted electronics that propel the track forward. It’s a great tune to wrap up your day.

FXXXYBLNT recently released a track from his upcoming album, NUDE. He worked with Touurs to produce "Didn't Mean A Word", a track that oozes out electronic, chillwave and sonic beats blended wonderfully.
